Dina Fanai has performed throughout the world as a vocalist, songwriter, original composer and as a singer with the multi-platinum selling arena rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO). After performing with the band for 2 years, she transitioned into being head of artist development for over 8 years. Dina has written and produced for Universal, Sony, and Columbia Records, and has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards from The Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and National Endowment for the Arts, as well as leading tours and educational programs in the US, Europe, India and Southeast Asia. Her recording project CINEMA 12, which she created with Robert Kinkel (co-creator/ producer of TSO), was featured on Tina Turner’s platinum selling CD “BEYOND”. In 2012, she was the featured vocalist on Grammy nominated Dave Eggar’s CD “Kingston Morning.” In 2012, Dina also launched her artist development company D.R.E.A.M Artist Productions – Developing, Recording and Empowering Artists in Music which she co-founded with multi-platinum songwriter / arranger / producer Heather Holley, most widely for her role in launching Christina Aguilera’s career.

As an artist, Dina has received enthusiastic reviews worldwide and is often compared to artists as diverse as Peter Gabriel, Lisa Gerrard, Barbara Streisand, Kate Bush, the poet Rumi and the music of Cirque du Soleil. Within this style that is uniquely hers, she incorporates sounds and textures of classical, modern and world instruments.

Incorporating her life long background in classical and modern dance through the School of American Ballet and the Julliard School, she toured as lead vocalist for “Games Of Steel”, Attack Theatre’s acclaimed dance rock opera, which she composed with Dave Eggar. 

Dina continues to to do extensive A&R, artist development and music contracting for major label recording artists, prime network television and arena tours. Through her company One Vision Music, she has produced countless benefit concerts and charity events supporting causes such as Juvenile Diabetes, Worldwide Orphans Foundation, The Associated Blind Foundation, LGBT, Woman Who Care, Sounds Of Hope, Daniel’s Music Foundation and The Coalition Of Battered Woman’s Advocates. She continues to perform and produce concerts and recordings to inspire the process of peace in the world. Dina is a co-founder of The Myth of Red Creative Salon Series and produces ongoing events, where she brings musicians of all genres and cultures together to create more community and to spread the message that there are no boundaries in art and music. She has curated and hosted “Women in Music” events and songwriter showcases throughout New York City for over 10 years to create a safe and supportive environment for other musicians and artists to share and explore their craft. She has led workshops in songwriting and creative expression at The Julliard School and The Children’s Aid Society.

In 2014 Dina released her 6th and 7th solo album simultaneously entitled “LEGENDS” and “HIDDEN”. “Hidden” is a compilation of some of the darkest, moving tracks from recent years, consisting of powerful collaborations with some of her favorite musicians, DJ’s and composers that didn’t go onto any of her other full releases. “Legends” is currently in the process of being developed into a full length multimedia stage production. 

In summer 2016, Dina did artist development and stage direction for “ROCKTOPIA” - A Classical Revolution, which was filmed in Budepest for a PBS special, televised nationwide December 2016, toured spring 2017 and scheduled to debut on Broadway spring 2018. Dina was also brought on as vocal producter for Sébastien Izambard from the operatic pop musical quartet Il Divo.

This past holiday, Dina produced and arranged 3 of the tracks on the new Jackie Evancho CD “SOMEDAY AT CHRISTMAS” released on Sony Records, which hit #1 on the Billboard charts - including the Stevie Wonder classic, title track, “Someday At Christmas” as well as 2 versions of "Little Drummer Boy", one featuring Il Volo. Dina then co-wrote and produced 4 songs on Jackie’s first ever pop CD “TWO HEARTS”  also hitting #1 on Billboard. Most recently, Dina has returned from Switzerland where she was brought on by the legendary band FOREIGNER as choir master, arranger and featured vocalist for their 40th anniversary orchestral show, television special, CD and DVD. She is currently working on her 8th solo CD as well as developing her own multimedia show entitled "September Moon".
